Here are three English reports on education in prison in the UK, all three transmitted by one of our members of the Science Committee, Mr Alan Tuckett.<\/p>\n

The first, “Crime and Lifelong Learning – IFLL Thematic Paper 5<\/a>“, focuses on education in prison and its relationship with reintegration. It was written by Professor Tom Schuller and published by the organization “Inquiry into the Future for Lifelong Learning”.<\/p>\n

The second, “Literacy Changes Lives: The role of literacy in offending behaviour \u2013 A discussion piece<\/a>“, focuses on the relationship between literacy and criminal behavior. It was written by Christina Clark and George Dugdale for “National Literacy Trust”.<\/p>\n

The third, “Making Prison Work\u00a0: Skills for Rehabilitation \u2013 Review of Offender Learning<\/a>“, focuses specifically on the various technical vocation and educational programmes offered in prison. It was produced by the “Department for Business, Innovation and Skills” of Ministry of Justice of the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n
